Clinical cardio electrophysiology, also known as arrhythmia service, is a study of your heart’s electrical activity.
During the test, we will safely reproduce your abnormal heart rhythm to better understand why it may be happening and where the arrhythmia is coming from.
We can use electrophysiology to support diagnoses such as atrial fibrillation and syncope (fainting), determine how medicines are working, and check whether pacemaker or cardioverter/defibrillator (ICD) placement is needed.
Depending on your situation, our doctors may recommend other electrophysiology procedures, including:
- Ablations
- LINX
- Pacemaker
- Defibrillator
- WATCHMAN™ LAAC device
